Between October 25-27 RT2 Drobeta together with friends from RT Germany managed to bring in 3 trucks a donation of medical equipment consisting of electrical and mechanical beds, mattresses, tables, chairs, cabinets, hand sanitizer and surfaces as well as many others necessary in the daily activity of the county hospital from Drobeta Turnu Severin as well as of the adjacent units. Also a fully equipped professional kitchen plus some washing machines were donated to the Social Assistance Center in the city. The donation was made possible with the help of three associations in Germany along with the message highlighted by German friends which reads: “Friends are almost especially in times of crisis.” This year’s convoy is a continuation of last year’s from the same period and is complementary to the Christmas Convoy that has been running for several years between December 1 and 6. Although there is a lot of uncertainty this year, friends in Germany have assured us that they will come with the gifts long awaited by children.
