Based on a partnership concluded with the Porțile de Fier Natural Park, and with the support of PNPF rangers (special thanks Adi Dumbravă), Round Table 2 Drobeta carried out an arrangement for a tourist stop on the route to the Ciucarul Mare plateau between 17-19.07.2020. It was located at an altitude of 316m, at the midway of one of the most spectacular and most frequented tourist routes, from where you can admire the entire area of the Cazanele Dunarii.
The action was joined by friends from the Round Table 17 Tg. Mureș who supported us in all phases of the project: mounting the gazebo on the ground, marking the components, dismantling and climbing the materials at the site (the most demanding action, which involved more than 10 ascents to a level difference of over 300 meters, at a temperature of 35 degrees, with about 2000 kg of materials and utensils), and finally … mounting in position, on a day when it rained from morning to evening.
All this effort was worth it, through the fact that friends were connected and rediscovered, and the Romanian Round Table is starting to become more and more visible and more involved in the life of the community!
